Into the Woods – Muir Woods National Monument, California, USA
Looks little unreal ? No it is a real picture but distorted one, which our eye can’t capture and our mind is not used to imagine it. This is very wide view of giant redwood trees at Muir Woods, California and it is stitched from more than 15 different RAW images taken with same settings. Assume that 1/4th of a sphere is projected onto the 2D plane of (a x b dimension) and try to correlate the distortion of long trees in image (center one is not so much distorted ^^, do some imaginary math).
This stitching process with raw images (each about ~29MB) is extremely CPU intensive and my laptop got tested on its computing power while processing this image even though it had 8GB ram, 256GB ssd and 3 GHz Core i7. (It took ~10-15 minutes to build+process this image)
